Riverdale Parents, Students, and Community Members:

I hope this update finds you all doing well.

The Riverdale Board of Education has made steps to change the calendar for the 2020-2021 school year. The start of classes will be September 8th. This change is based on recommendations by Hancock Public Health to give health officials more time to monitor the recent increase in COVID cases and the increase in the County level. This will also allow our teaching staff more time to prepare for what possibly could be an ever evolving school year.

You can find the revised calendar on the website (EXPLORE>DOCUMENT>District Calendar) or through this link  https://5il.co/imsu.

In the coming days a survey will be sent to all parents through FinalForms. Please make sure we have a valid/correct email address on FinalForms. You can do so by logging into https://riverdale-oh.finalforms.com/. Your input is important.

Our goal is to have our comprehensive plan to the public next week.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.

Yours in Education,

Jeff Young
