Congrats to our Hardin County Youth Leaders Paige Courtad, Emily O'Flaherty, Nathan Alge and Grant Inbody. These four outstanding students were recognized today at the year-end banquet where they presented 3 Riverdale teachers with grants for their classrooms. Great job guys!!!

Riverdale High School (Mt. Blanchard/Hancock County) seeks a dynamic high school HEAD FOOTBALL COACH for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will demonstrate: effective organizational skills; the ability to build a complete staff; a willingness to work with athletic department staff and other team coaches; and the development of an effective training/practice schedule. Interested candidates should possess or be able to obtain a pupil activity permit, and should contact AD Nate Sorg at nsorg@riverdalefalcons.org. An anticipated intervention specialist teaching position is also available for the 2024-2025 school year. The coaching position will remain open until filled

The Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award Program was established by the OESCA to promote and recognize outstanding academic achievement. One senior from each Ohio school is nominated, receives a scholarship, and is asked to attend a luncheon in which they honor their most influential teacher. On Sunday, May 5th we celebrated Andrew Woodruff, Riverdale's Franklin B. Walter winner, and his most influential teacher, Mr. Eric Sudlow. Congratulations!

May 4th is prom! Good luck to the prom 2024 king and queen candidates!

The High School Academic Awards ceremony is Monday, May 13 in the cafeteria. Cupcakes will be served at 5:30pm with awards commencing at 6:00pm.

Kindergarten Kaleidoscope performance is Great! We have another show at 7pm tonight.

Taryn Headington broke the Black Knight Invite meet record for the 200 Meter Hurdles with a time of 32.71.

The JH girls track team set a new meet record at the Van Buren Invitational for the 4x200 with a time of 1:58.07. Team was made up of Ta’Mijah Altvater, Paige Vent, Summer Boutwell, and Taryn Headington. They broke the meet record set by Ava Dement, Lilly Hilvers, Kennedy Phelps, and Mariah Bonham set in 2021.

Last week our Riverdale staff and students came together to help a kindergarten student at Upper Sandusky Schools. Tanner was involved in an accident that he had lost his lower leg. We wanted to help the family in providing some financial support for them. The staff and students were welcomed to wear Hats for Tanner for a donation and we were able to give $543.08 to the family. The family was appreciative of the donation and support . We will continue to keep Tanner and his family in our thoughts.

Congratulations to the 2024 prom king and queen candidates. Crowning will take place at prom on May 4th.

Yesterday, Mrs. Boes' Senior English class and Ms. Hayter's English class celebrated Shakespeare's 460th birthday by pinning the hat on the bard, trying to copy Shakespeare's signature, analyzing Shakespeare quotes, making a card for Shakespeare, and enjoying some juice and cake!
