Our administration and teachers have met and worked hard on a plan to continue to educate our students during the COVID-19 shutdown. The work the team has done was carefully thought out to ensure that safety of our students came first.
Riverdale Local Schools is committed to providing ongoing remote instruction during the extended school closure due to COVID-19. Teachers have worked hard on options that will begin on Friday, March 20, 2020 and continue every Wednesday at the same time and locations
Also starting Friday we will distribute “grab-and-go” meals at the Forest-Jackson Library, Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church, and Wharton First Church of God. The food distribution will continue Monday, Wednesday, Friday at the same time and locations throughout the school closure. Please continue to check the Riverdale website, e-mails, and social media as we pledge to keep the information updated. Also, on our webpage are links to other educational sites, health information, and food distribution locations.
At this time our buildings are still open to staff with an option to work remotely. Principals and Supervisors are communicating to employees the needs of the building and district.
I want to remind everyone that this is an ever changing situation and we need to continue to be flexible and keep communication open. Compassion for each other and working together is key for our Riverdale community.
Please contact us if there are questions or concerns.
