Cross Country results from Saturday-Girls placed 3rd as a team at the BVC, (pretty sure that gives us BVC Honors as a team) JH- Liviya Benjamin 5th place 13:50, Koltyn Weatherholtz 29th place 16:50, Brekken Rall 10th Place 12:54(Season Best Time). High School- Stephen Letso 27th place 19:24(Season Best), Josh Leopold 24:41, Juleigha Collier 1st team BVC with a 2nd place finish of 20:31, Kendra Collier 2nd team BVC with a 10th place finish of 21:51, Audrey Leopold Honorable Mention BVC with 20th place finish of 23:14, Abby Blanco 24th Place with a time of 23:47, Isa Renteria 37th Place, Adrian Digby 40th Place.

Varsity girls’ volleyball at Carey for Division IV Sectional Tournament at 6:30 p.m. The bus will leave at 5:30 p.m.

The girls’ basketball team is selling Riverdale shirts for their fundraiser. All orders are online at https://riverdalegirlsbskt.itemorder.com . The order deadline is November 8th. All orders will be delivered to Coach Reynolds the week of December 5th. If you have any questions, please see Coach Reynolds.



The Junior Class Calendar Raffle winner for October 14th – Chris Hunt, 15th-Tracy Tackett, 16th-Rob Strasbaugh.



The Annual FFA Fruit Sale will run thru November 3rd. Please contact any FFA Member or Ms. Steinmetz at ext. 1712 to place your order.



6-12 picture retakes will be Wednesday, October 25th beginning at 9:00 a.m.



ACT Preparation Sessions: If you are planning to take the ACT this fall or winter you are encouraged to attend the test preparation sessions on Tuesday, October 17th and Monday, October 23rd at Liberty-Benton. Each night there will be sessions from 7:00-8:10 p.m. and 8:20-9:30 p.m. English, Reading, Math and Science will be presented during each session.   You will choose two subjects to review on the first night and can then attend the remaining two subjects on the second night. You choose which subject sessions to attend on each night. See Mrs. McKinniss for details.



There will be a Financial Aid Info & FAFSA Completion Session at Riverdale TONIGHT from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Parents and students are asked to bring 2016 student and parent Federal Tax Returns, W2’s and Social Security numbers. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. McKinniss in guidance.



The local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is participating in the annual Junior American Citizen (JAC) contest sponsored by the National DAR. Entry forms are available in the office.



The golf team is selling Hancock County Money Saver Books for $20.00. Please see any golf member, Mr. Ruggles, or the HS office to purchase one.



There will be basketball open gym for boys and girls in grades 9-12 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 a.m.-7:40 a.m.



The Riverdale Lions Club has collection boxes located in the elementary and MS/HS offices to collect any unused eye glasses for the Lions Clubs International.



HS students who are interested in winning up to $30,00 in scholarships, the Voice of Democracy program sponsored by the VFW is available. The 2017/18 theme is “American History: Our Hope for the Future”. Forms are available from Mr. Hayfield, Mr. Jackel or the office. The deadline is October 31st.
